Dear Sirs,
Commission accounts for 1914
We have to acknowledge receipt of your letter of yesterday enclosing Commission Accounts for the first & second halves of last year for which we are much obliged and agreeably with your instructions we have debited you with the sum of £ 10.640.0.8 in our settlement with the London County & Westminster Bank today: we quite understand the reason why the accounts for the first six months had not reached us in the ordinary course.
We have to tender you our sincere thanks for the very kind expression contained in the concluding paragraph of your letter which we much appreciate and we should merely like to add that it has been a source of gratification and pleasure to us to have been able to assist you in the difficult circumstances in which both our countries were placed owing to the war.
We are, dear Sirs,
Yours truly,
James Burness & Sons
